I am the Chronicler of Threaworld.
I am entrusted with the task of rediscovering its history, a history lost in a cataclysmic event, the nature of which I do not know.
This much was revealed to me in the dream that set me this task.
Faced with the knowledge they could not thwart the destruction, the assembled wizards of Threaworld, using magical means likely forever lost, scattered the history of Threaworld to the cosmic wind. The wind has safeguarded that history through many ages. Now, the magic has run its course, and the wind has placed this history in bits and pieces in the heads of different people throughout this world.
I can tell you Threaworld was a place of high fantasy, where women of unequaled beauty were courted by heroes of unrivaled skill and valor. It was also a place where unspeakable evils lurked in shadows, and sometimes even in bright daylight. And it was also a place filled with many ordinary people living ordinary lives.

It is my hope that I might find in my own brain some of this history not yet awakened. But so far, I have only been gifted with one very minor story. I will tell it here, but it does little more than give a vague sense of this world and an introduction to a couple of people and places. For all I know, the people and town I have seen may never show up in its history again.
